NEW – Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)

• The Work Charging Scheme will be open to any business, charity or public sector organisation in the UK (who meet the eligibility criteria in the guidance), to install electric vehicle chargepoints for staff or fleet use.
• It is a voucher-based scheme, giving eligible workplaces £500 per socket (up to a maximum of 20 sockets per workplace) towards the installation of an OLEV-approved chargepoint. OLEV-authorised chargepoint installers will then claim the value of the voucher on behalf of the applicant.
• The scheme will open for workplaces to apply on 21st November 2016. The application forms for eligible workplaces to apply, will be made available then.
