Access control allows you to control who has access to the building. Electronic access control systems provide the most efficient and convenient way of making your building safe and secure. Installing an access control system means that you will never have to change a lock again, saving the expense of changing locks and re-issuing keys. Tokens , cards or fobs are issued to gain access, which can be easily barred from the access control system if they are lost, stolen or not returned by someone who leaves the company. We provide systems which are accessed over the Internet so clients can control remotely and record entry to their building.

Once R.B. Grant have installed an access control system, all doors controlled by the control system will automatically lock when any door is closed. Access can only be gained by someone with an access token or the correct pin number.

Access control easily controls user access rights through the main system. The system can be set up to meet the needs of individual members of staff. For example, all members of staff can gain access through the main door. Internal access can be set up so that restricted areas can only be accessed by those that have authority.

R.B. Grant Electrical Contractors supply and install access control systems that provide organisations with a secure, convenient, flexible and cost effective way of controlling who has access to your building.

Access to properties can be controlled by:

Access Control System example

For a recent project we had to design an access control system for a unmanned city apartment block for long and short term lets. The access to the existing court yard was by fob entry or through a video entry phone streamed over the Internet to warden a 24 hour remote warden. Once inside the individual doors are key coded specifically to the apartment and general areas. After every property is relet the flat access code can be changed to increase security. When the property requires cleaning or maintenance there are spepcifc key codes and fobs which give access to relevant areas. The access control system logs all doors as they are opened and feeds back the information to the warden.

Security is important in today’s changing society. Large properties can use access control systems for protection, monitoring, access limitations and safety. For example:
