R.B. Grant Electrical Contractors was established in 1974 and over the years has built a reputation for excellent workmanship and customer care, now employing a workforce of forty.

An annual apprenticeship electrician scheme and mentoring programme are recent developments, which will ensure a well-trained workforce for the future. The business has a strong and expanding customer base in both private and contract work.

“In the last six years we have worked hard to develop and expand the business”, explains Ronnie Jnr. “It’s a family business and we have a long list of clients in both the private and public sector.”

Due to their successful development, R.B. Grant opened an office in Kirkcaldy in April this year, primarily to manage contract work in the Central Fife area. Ronnie Grant Jnr is responsible for the day to day running and overall management of this office.

Ronnie has also taken responsibility for ensuring that the business is best placed to meet the ever increasing demands on small businesses, demands which must be met to secure future work and the continued employment of a committed workforce.

Business Gateway has provided invaluable support to Ronnie in developing quality management systems, web audits and sales development.

Ronnie said, “It has been hard work but the recent help and support of the team at Business Gateway has been invaluable. As our customers grow, so does the number of our staff so it’s imperative that we keep looking for ways to secure clients all over Central Scotland.”

Gillian Reid from Business Gateway commented, “Ronnie understands the importance of outside support and came to Business Gateway for assistance in these areas. Ronnie has taken our advice and support and is actively working towards turning our advice into successful business methods.”
